Create a new Subtitle Script
By default, when you launch Miyu, it will create a new subtitle scrip.
Here is how to setup your new script and get down to business.
- If you have turned off 'Always create a new Document' in preferences,
you can always do it manually by going to the menu bar and selecting
File > New (Hotkey: Apple-N)
- A new script will be created, and it will automatically open
the Script Settings

- Change the canvas size to match the size in pixels that you want
you final project to be. This is used for all exporters later on.
- Native Framerate should match the movie file you are using for
best results.
- Now, you need to attach a movie file to your script. Click on
the Change… button. This will bring up the
standard file dialog

- Select the video file you want to use and click Open
- Then click OK in the Script Settings dialog to
finish
- Make sure you save your new script. In the menu bar go to File
> Save (Hotkey: Apple-S) and
name your document and find a place to keep it.
